By September 30, 2023, entrepreneurs responsible for mining dams that are part of the National Dam Safety Policy (PNSB) must submit, through the Mining Dam Safety Information System (SIGBM), the Declarations of Stability Condition (DCE) related to the Regular Safety Inspection Report (RISR) for the September campaign.
This same deadline equally applies to Downstream Containment Structures (ECJs).
It is imperative to emphasize that the absence of DCE submission, as well as the submission of a DCE with a negative outcome, will result in the following consequences:
- Structural Embargo: In the case of mining dams, the failure to submit the DCE will lead to the embargo of the respective structure. Similarly, in the case of ECJs, the mining complex associated with it will also be subject to an embargo.
- Fine Imposition: In addition to the embargo, the failure to submit the DCE will also result in the imposition of a monetary penalty.
This information is provided based on the guidelines of the National Dam Safety Policy and aims to ensure the safety and compliance of mining operations in Brazil.
