The deadline for lodging the RAL 2024 is in March

The Annual Mining Report (RAL) is a legal requirement for holders or lessees of mining titles or utilization guides in Brazil, mandated by the Mining Code and DNPM Ordinance No. 155/2016.

This report, conducted annually and electronically through the RALWeb application, requires information on production, commercialization, mineral reserves, mining methods, equipment, labor, among other technical data.

Failure to comply or provide incorrect information in the RAL is an offense subject to fines, according to ANM Resolution No. 122/2022, and hinders the analysis of the Brazilian mining sector’s economic performance.

The RAL is an important source of data for understanding the sector, including production and commercialization history and projections, location of ventures, and royalty collection, being essential for governmental and social monitoring of mining activity in the country.

What is the deadline?

The declaration must be submitted by March 15th of each year for mine manifests, mining decrees, mining ordinances, mining groups, mining consortia, licenses with an economic utilization plan approved by ANM, artisanal mining permits, extraction records, and areas with utilization guides.

For licenses without an economic utilization plan approved by ANM, the deadline for submitting the RAL is by March 31st of each year.

How do I access it?
